.NAME Domains

Started in 2001, the .NAME top-level extension is the only one meant for personal web pages only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are famous by. Initially, only 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to purchase john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already acquired 3rd-level domains remained active.

Through our firm, you can register your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to modify the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar company and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finished. There are no specific conditions on who can book a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the objective behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
